The Lakeland Regional Science Fair is taking place at Portage College in St. Paul, April 13th! This event will be an exhibition of local geniuses from grades 4 – 12, as well as a tech exhibition featuring speakers, workshops, and demonstrations. But then, you probably already knew that since I’ve been covering all the details in the last few weeks of posts.

Do you think you want to participate?

Background information in the form of a blog post recap

We’ve looked at what science fairs are and what you can expect if you participate:

🚀 An introduction to the Lakeland Regional Science Fair – and to me.

🚀 Science fairs aren’t just for super-geniuses in buttoned-down lab coats

There has been lots of talk about coming up with great science fair topics:

⚡️ How to tell if you have a good science fair topic

⚡️ Turning any question into a science-fair-ready topic

⚡️ Do what you want, then figure out why it’s science

⚡️An example: Taking a silly idea and turning it into a serious science project

⚡️Ideas, ideas, ideas

And of course, I’ve been encouraging everyone to participate:

👍 One of us… One of us…

👍 What’s stopping you from joining the science fair?

Finally, a post for the parents

🏄‍♂️ For those who may feel a sense of dread when they hear the words “science fair”
